'Castles' Cottage is a stone built cottage under a stone slate roof which was completely renovated in 2006 including a complete re-wire, all new plumbing and central heating. Except for the bathroom the cottage's walls and ceilings were completely re-plastered, the lounge, kitchen, hall and porch floors were tiled while the bedroom recieved a new insulated concrete floor. The cottage also had new Upvc tilt and turn windows fitted though out as well as new internal pine doors, frames, architraves and skirtings. There are lawned gardens to the front and one side of the cottage and a fenced vegetable garden to the rear approx 80ft x 45ft containing a 30ft x 14ft polytunnel frame which will be recovered shortly. The cottage has mains electric, mains water and telephone connected and drainage to a private septic tank.

Feature fireplace, 2 windows, large radiator, 8 double and 1 single 13amp sockets, main phone socket, TV and Sky sockets, emergency lighting.

Kitchen: 10’ x 6’ (3 x 1.8mtrs)
Galley style with fridge, dishwasher electric oven and hob, extractor fan. ‘Turco’ oiled fired combination central heating boiler. One window. 4 double 13amp sockets (all appliances wired separately).

Bedroom: 13’ x 12’ (3.9 x 3.6mtrs) - not including built in wardrobes to one complete wall
2 windows, radiator, 5 double and 1 single 13amp sockets, telephone and TV points.

Bathroom: 10’ x 5’ (3 x 1.5mtrs.)
Bath with electric shower over, pedestal wash hand basin, W.C., heated towel rail, shaver socket/light.

Hallway: 10’ x 4’ (3 x 1.2mtrs)
Radiator, emergency lighting.

Porch: 9’ x 5’ (2.7 x 1.5mtrs.)
Towel radiator 2 double 13amp sockets.

N.B. All the above sizes are approximate but are certainly correct to the nearest foot (30cm).

There are several stone byres and workshops, the main ones are:

• Stone byre under a stone slate roof, approximately 60’ x 15’ (18 x 4.5mtrs) split about 35’ byre / 25’ workshop.
• Stone built byre under a corrugated non asbestos roof, approximately 35’ x 16’ (10.5 x 4.8mtrs) split about 25’ byre / 10’ workshop.
• A number of small stone or timber sheds / lean tos.
